• A ladder and a pole saw on a limb over your head is how people get hurt. Stay on the ground.
• Do not top a tree by cutting the whole crown flat. It grows back weaker, and the next storm finds it.
• If you want more light on a garden or a window, say which one. We take the wood that is in the way, not the whole tree.
• Deadwood over a path is worth doing before it drops. If the trunk is split or the tree is coming out, that isremoval, not a prune.
