Tree removal in Sorrento

North-shore houses and summer cabins, with limbs over the roof and the lane. Call now.

Sorrento sits on the Trans-Canada along the north shore of Shuswap Lake, between Salmon Arm and Chase. Some places are lived in all year. A lot are cabins that sit empty from fall to May. The drive from Salmon Arm can be part of the price. We say so before we come.

Steep lanes to the water

The lanes down to the lake are short and steep. A tree that leans over a deck has nowhere to fall except the roof or the neighbour. Tell us what is below it: deck, dock, septic, or a parked truck. We do not drop a tree down a lane and hope.

If a limb is on a power line, stay back and call BC Hydro at 1-888-769-3766. Do not cut it. Tight removals are described on thetree removal page.

Cabins empty all winter

A cabin closed in October can hold a split limb until someone opens it in May. Walk the place before you book the weekend. Look at the roof, the deck, and the trees on the uphill side. If something is hanging, send a photo and call us.

Do not start a chainsaw on wood that is pinched against the roof. A tree already down is on thestorm damage page. Limbs you want off the roof before the next wind arepruning.

Highway frontage and the lines

A lot of Sorrento lots face the highway, with the power line along the road. A fir that has grown into that line is not a job to start yourself. Say if the tree is on the highway side or the lake side when you call. Access from the highway is different from a shared lane down to the water.

Other north-shore notes are on the Shuswap page. Typical ranges are on thecost page. We confirm the price before we start. For a tree on the house, call +1 (236) 835 2040.
